1 Peter 1:8,9
I really like this text.
It says that despite not having seen Jesus for ourselves, we still love
Him. It is because we believe in Him
with such large amounts of joy and glory that we can be assured of the end
result of our faith. The salvation of
our souls.
I know firsthand two things.
First, that being in close communion with God by reading the Bible and
trusting Him does bring about incredible peace, energy, and a positive outlook
on life. Only when I have deviated from
that relationship have I felt despair and depression. Second, that life isn't easy just because I
am a follower of Jesus. Things can still
be tough. However I can't imagine facing
those hard times without my Jesus helping me be a better person and providing
for me.
