James 2:5-13

James 2:5-13

God has decided that the poor people around the world would be filled with faith beyond everyone else and that they too will be heirs to the kingdom He has given to those that love Him.  You have been rude and mean to these very people God has blessed.  After all, don't you who have lots of money oppress and make life harder for those with less than you?  Don't you make life hard for them, even in the court systems?  Don't you treat them horribly and condemn yourself by acting unChristian to them who are Christian?  If you truly did follow God and His teachings, including the ten commandments, then you would "love your neighbor as yourself."  But you don't.  By treating those who have nicer clothes and more money or other wealth better than those with less, you are committing a sin and are convicted by God's law as worthy of death.  Just because you keep the whole law (don't murder, don't lie about your neighbor, worship on God, etc) and mess up on this small point, you are broken the whole law and your act is as bad as killing an innocent or not worshipping God alone.  You are judged based on the law and on how you react to Jesus.  You will be judged as you have judged others.  If you were merciful, then you will get mercy.  If you stuck to the rules with others, then even your smallest mistake will kill you.  Mercy triumphs over judgment.
