I really like what this text says. It goes past the previous text, which was that the prophets were researching and studying constantly to learn of God's plan of salvation. It explains that the prophets, though they were trying to understand what would happen when Jesus came. The Spirit of Christ was inside of them, guiding them so that they would know the suffering as well as the glorious things that were to come when Jesus stepped onto this Earth. They strove to understand the promptings of the Spirit to also know when He would come.
Who says God does not care? I think He cares very much. To have worked hard for years through various prophets to try to prepare humanity for His entrance to the world stage. That is consideration that only a good and caring person would have for others. That my God has for you. He loves you. Don't doubt that. Ever.
This is a place where I am study God's Word for myself. I am a bit of a historian so also including some research into the culture of the times and people that I come across as I read the Bible will be here too. This is just a way for me to share what I learn with others as well as feel like I am being held accountable for keeping up with my devotions. I am lazy by nature and need that small check and balance.
