1 Peter 1:24, 25

Review: We know that our love for God leads to loving those around us too.  Because within us is planted the Word of God and the Word of God exists always.

"because, 

'All flesh is as grass,

And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass.

The grass withers,

And its flower falls away,

But the word of the Lord endures forever.'

Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you."

Humans are just like the plants you see around you when you go outside.  (Unless you live in a city that has no grass or trees or flowers...) Eventually humans (like those plants) are going to get old and die.  Grass turns brown.  Flower petals fall and crumble.  Humans also get old, slow down, get to the point that they use more energy sitting than they did when they were younger and running down the street.  It happens to humans, animals, plants, etc without any consideration or bias.

The only exception is the Word of the Lord.  God.  Jesus Christ.  It lasts forever.  It never gets old or tired.  It is Life.
