"As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God."
I know that my spiritual gift is helping others. Sometimes God gives me a little indication of another's feelings so that I don't misuse my gift. Overall though, if I don't use my gift to help others then I feel a sense of incompleteness and wastefulness. Like I had not done my part in God's plan for my life.
That is what stewards do. They take care of things for their masters. They make sure things are run smoothly to the best of their abilities for the glory of their master no matter what personal problems they may have. The focus is not themselves, but their masters.
We are to be the same way. We have been given talents, roles, and resources. Some a bit more unusual than others. We are supposed to use them for God's glory, not ourselves or to bring focus on us. Just on Him.
"If anyone speaks, let him speaks as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen."
When you do speak, you need to speak as the mouthpiece of God. Let nothing come out of you that doesn't glorify Him. If others need a helping hand and you are the one who does so, it is because God wanted you to. Serving the people in whatever way you do is not because of your skill or your talent, but because of skill and talent God gave you. So to Him the praise should go. Always.
