"Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world." ~ James 1:27
This means to me that this is the definition of true worship. Taking care of others in their loneliness and time of need. While helping others, you do not pick up any bad habits that you will come into contact with. Keep yourself centered on God instead of yourself, and you will be practicing true worship.
