"Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls."
This means to me that the things in life that have cuss words, violence, sexual content, gossip, and even jealousy with friends/family should not be allowed to be a part of your life. It is, no matter for what purpose such as entertainment or jokes, not worth your soul.
Instead, be extremely meek and humble in accepting a priceless gift that you could never have afforded. It isn't your right to have it. It isn't a privilege you should just be given because you are human. It is a gift of Truth placed inside of you that will guide you if you will but say yes. Remember what a gift is? It is a gift. It can save you.
